That's Gaelic for 100,00 Welcomes
My husband Mike and I moved to Au Gres, Michigan in September 1993 with the goal of
providing a quality dining experience in an atmosphere that reflects both our Irish
heritage and our love of family. Since that time, the efforts of the staff and the
support of the community have truly made our dream blossom.
That support continued when Mike died suddenly in July 1996. His spirit is very much
present here, and I am truly blessed.
Our four children have all continued the tradition of giving service. James is a
proprietor of a restaurant in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our daughter-in-law, Jennifer, is a
big help to him and a wonderful mother to our grandchildren, Paige and Michael. Sheila
earned a Master's degree in Special Education and teaches in Peck, Michigan. Michael works
for Grainger Inc., as an Outside Territory Manager. He married Amy Szudzik in November
2002. They maintain a home in Gaylord, Michigan where Amy works for AFLAC and as a
Substitute Teacher. Deborah, our youngest, recently graduated from Northwood University
with a degree in Marketing Management. She can be found doing a little bit of everything
at the restaurant. We look forward to watching her professional growth.
The staff and I aim to give you the best dining experience possible.
If we succeed, please tell you friends. If we don't, please tell us.
Sincerely,
Bridget, Staff, and Family
